AN INTERIM MANAGER WORKSHOP
Many who are attracted to a career in Interim Management
see it has the potential to offer a real challenge, excellent financial
rewards, greater control, less involvment in 'politics', greater
variety, an opportunity to focus on what they are really good at
and a better work/life balance. Hoever, Interim Management does
not suit everyone. There are some very real
potential downsides including uncertainty, risk, the need to market
and sell yourself (for which many do not believe they have the skills
or motivation), time away from home, isolation and a loss of corporate
perks.

about your existing situation, your goals. This section will help
you determine what it is you are looking to create. Once you have
clarity in these areas, you will have a benchmark against which
you can measure a career in interim management.
- The Interim Management Market
- Market statistics, how the market works and the role of interim
managers and what being an interim manager is REALLY like - the
pros and cons! This section will help you decide if interim management
is tight for you
- Your Interim Management Marketing Plan
- There are four key elements to your marketing plan
- your 'product(s)' (what you offer), your markets (where you
are most likely to succeed), your routes to market (how you will
create market awareness) and your differentiators (why clients
should pick you). In this section you will not only learn how
to develop each of these areas but you will begin the process
of actually doing so for your own interim management business.
- Networking - a
critical element of your marketing approach. Many feel uncomfortable
with networking so in this section we discuss and practice the
critical components of networking to build skills and confidence

- interim managers will need to operate through
